DL-12 Midnight Blue is a glossy, deep navy blue glaze that breaks into lighter blue highlights where thick. This glaze is good for textured work and layers well with other DL glazes.

The Dipping and Layering glazes are new, easy-to-use mid-range dry dipping glazes that were designed to be dipped and layered with ease. These glaze colors are inspired by popular layering colors from the Potter's Choice glaze series.

Quick mixing! Pre-measured, dry dipping materials. Simply add one US gallon (3.8 liters) of distilled water per 1 bag of dry materials!

While measuring the specific gravity is not required to initially mix the AMACO Dipping and Layering glazes, there may be a time you need to know the recommended specific gravity for DL-12 Midnight Blue is 1.52.

MIXING DIRECTIONS: Wear a NIOSH approved mask for dust. Pour 1 gallon (3.8L) of distilled water into a 2 gallon (7.6L) or larger bucket. Avoid breathing dust while adding product to water. Mix contents until smooth and free of lumps. For best results, sieve glaze through 80-mesh screen and let sit overnight. Please refer to detailed instructions inside box.

DIRECTIONS: Stir well before use. Dip Cone 04 (1945°F, 1063°C)* bisque into glaze for 1-3 seconds, lift out and turn over to pour out excess glaze. Fire to witness Cone 5-6. Store prepared glazes in sealed bucket. Test dipping thickness before firing. To reduce thickness, add 1 cup (236 ml) of water, then retest.

Due to variations in raw materials, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze. Request Safety Data Sheets when using in manufacturing.

Tableware producers must have all finished ware tested and approved as safe for food through a certified laboratory due to possible variations in firing temperature and possible contamination.

Each glaze bag produces roughly 1.25 gallons or at least 10 pints worth of glaze!

The glazes are perfect for the studio or classroom! Easy application and faster than brushing with consistent and reliable results!
