A liquid binder, thickener and suspension aid made of organic cellulose gum. Gums are commonly used in ceramics to harden unfired ceramic glazes. This makes for safer handling of ware, better adherence to the body and slower drying thus better brushability.
Use with Glaze
A glaze might perform well when dipping or pouring but dry so quickly when brushing that your brush sticks to the pot. We suggest adding one to two teaspoons of gum solution to a pint of glaze to help with brushability.
