A used Olympic Electric Kiln, model S18A equipped with kiln sitter and safety limit timer. The firing chamber measures 17.5 inches in diameter and 18 inches high. The kiln is made from 2.5 inch thick brick and the max temp of the kiln being cone 6, 2250F.

Note: This kiln's max temp is cone 6 with brand new elements. As this kiln has been used, the elements have weakened and is no longer a good candidate for firing to a cone 6. This kiln as is, would make a good bisque kiln to 06-04. With a new set of elements installed, this kiln could reach cone 6 again. Taking a kiln to its max temperature is hard on the kiln, especially when it is only insulated with 2.5" brick. You may find yourself replacing elements often when firing to cone 6.
